Welcome to Nine Circles

The Nine Circles Cosmochemistry research group, located within the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of the University of Arizona, studies the origin and early history of Solar System.

The Nine Circles facilities include two laboratories; Inferno (experimental) and Paradiso (analytical), alongside computational equipment and a petrographic microscope setup. In addition, we benefit from other facilities at the LPL and University of Arizona.

The Nine Circles Cosmochemistry Group is led by founding member Dante Lauretta and is supported by the LPL and NASA.
