The 5th
Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Conference
May 22-23, 2002
Hacienda del Sol, Tucson, AZ

First Announcement

With such a large and diverse set of people here, it is often difficult to keep up on what everybody is doing! The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Conference (LPLC) will be a two-day conference, organized and run by the PtyS graduate students, devoted to the work that is going on within our own LPL/PtyS community. It is the hope of the organizing committee that faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and research staff will take this opportunity to share their progress and activities with each other.

The conference will be held on Wednesday, May 22, and Thursday, May 23, at the Hacienda del Sol resort in the Catalina Foothills. Talks and poster sessions will be held all day on both days with sessions chaired and AV support provided by the PtyS graduate students. Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided on both days and there will be a reception with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at the close of activities on Thursday evening.

Again this year we will be having electronic abstract submission and registration. Please be sure to watch your e-mail for further announcements.
