The 6th
Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Conference
September 18-19, 2003
Tanque Verde Ranch, Tucson, AZ

First Announcement

We decided to try something different this year, and hold our conference in September. This is in part due to the fact that Bratfest 25 is this year, and we hope to bring lots of alumni and former LPL-ers back to Tucson for both events.

Please point any LPL alumni or former employees you know to our flier!

The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Conference (LPLC) is a two-day conference, organized and run by the PtyS graduate students, devoted to the work that is going on within our own LPL community. It is the hope of the organizing committee that faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and research staff will take this opportunity to share their progress and activities with each other. We also hope this year to be able to hear from scientists who were once a part of the LPL community.

The conference will be held on Thursday, September 18 and Friday, September 19, 2003, at the Tanque Verde Ranch, which borders Saguaro National Park East. Talks and poster sessions will be held all day on both days with sessions chaired and AV support provided by the PtyS graduate students. Lunch and breaks will be provided on both days and there will be a reception, on a patio overlooking the Tucson valley, with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at the close of activities on Friday evening.

Again this year we will be having electronic abstract submission and registration. Please be sure to watch your e-mail for further announcements.
