Information for Presenters

Presentations may be made on any aspect of ongoing or recently completed research, whether or not it has been presented previously (or will be presented subsequently) in another place.

Posters:

There will not be a poster session this year.

Talks:

Talks should be limited to 10 minutes in length, with 5 minutes for questions and discussion. (Those using the conference for their Journal Club presentation will be allocated 30 minutes for their presentations.) We provide laser pointers and a podium with a microphone.

We will provide an LCD projector for electronic presentations. You may bring your own laptop to connect to the projector, or we will provide a computer running Windows XP. This computer will have PowerPoint and various web browsers for giving presentations, and will be equipped with a CD-ROM drive and a USB port for your loading convenience.

We are not supporting slide projectors this year unless arrangements are made with the Organizing Committee in advance.

If you are going to be giving an electronic presentation using the provided computer, you must check your presentation before the time of your talk. If you have an early morning talk, please come before the conference starts, otherwise, you can check your presentation during any of the breaks. The earlier the better! If you are going to be connecting your laptop to the LCD projector for a talk, please make sure that the laptop is booted up and ready to go. We also suggest testing the video connection before the beginning of your session.
