Dr. Chyba's research interests include the environment of early Earth and other topics related to the origin of life; comet and asteroid impacts, including the contemporary impact hazard; water and organic molecules on Mars; and the detection and characterization of a possible liquid ocean on Jupiter's moon Europa.
