Elizabeth Roemer Professor Emerita Comets, minor planets; astrometry Ph.D., 1955, University of California - Berkeley Sonett  #119C 621-2897 RESEARCH INTERESTS Dr. Roemer’s research interests center on comets and minor planets ("asteroids"), including positions (astrometry), motions, and physical characteristics, especially of those objects that approach the Earth’s orbit. Related interests include the relationship between asteroids and Jupiter-family comets and the orbital evolution of comets in general.
