Steve Kortenkamp, Ph.D.

Dr. Kortenkamp is an astronomer who teaches planetary science (PTYS/ASTR 206) as well as LASC 297a for math and science preceptors. In 2011 Kortenkamp received the UA College of Science Innovations in Teaching award. Steve is also a senior scientist at the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson and a prolific author of children's science books.

Shireen Keyl teaches multiple sections of LASC 197a: Melding Academic & Professional Skills, LASC 297a: Einstein's Protegees for math and science preceptors, and LASC 397a: Advanced Preceptorship. She is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Language, Reading and Culture in the UofA College of Education.

Professor Larson founded the Teaching Teams Programs in 1998. The Teaching Teams Program was developed within the Department of Planetary Science/ Lunar & Planetary Lab, and quickly expanded campus and nation wide. He is an excellent source of information regarding how to bring the Teaching Teams Program to your institution. He serves as Faculty Director Emeritus.
