PTYS 106 emphasizes the part of the universe that is within reach of direct human experience and exploration.
PTYS 106 is designed for non-science majors. It meets the general education science requirements of most colleges and departments and it satisfies the College of Arts and Science general education requirement for lab science when taken together with the lab course PTYS 109L.
PTYS 106 is identical with ASTR 106 and GEOS 106.
