Andrew Rivkin: Guru of Entropy
The Story So Far:
I'm a research associate at the
University of Arizona,
where I was a graduate student studying planetary sciences at the
Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, along with the people whose Web templates I've stolen.
Currently my research centers around near-infrared spectroscopy and spectrophotometry of asteroids, remotely dowsing the main belt, although the summer of 1995 I was up at Lowell Observatory looking at Saturn during ring-plane crossing . Some sketchy results from that summer can be found here . In my copious spare time, I listen to and play music, and other, more random things.
I've got a longer version of my biography online as well, in case anyone finds the above totally enthralling. Or, look at my
vita (vita slightly outdated)! Pictures of friends from MIT and Arizona can be seen by clicking on the appropriate links. There's also pictures taken at various conferences, and trips .
