Slice cucumbers into rounds. Hollow out center of each round. Drain cucumber well.
Spread bread slices lightly with butter. Place a cucumber slice on each round and fill the hollow with a tiny shrimp. Decorate each sandwich with a dab of mayonnaise and a sprig of lemon thyme.

Dip sliced cucumbers into french dressing and drain. Separare onion into rings. Place an onion ring on each slice of toast. Place a slice of cucumner in each ring. Cover the cucumber with caviar, and garnish with capers and hard-boiled egg.
