Christmas Refrigerator Pickles

Slice unpeeled cucumbers, onions, and red peppers in any proportions you like (the green, white, and red are Christmas colors). Soak the vegetables overnight in 5 gallons of water mixed with 2 pounds of salt. Drain and pack in enough liquid to cover them, made of 1/4 vinegar and 3/4 white wine.
