Don't have time to wade through 200 photos below? Then check out my favorite 20 photos that pretty much sum up the season for me.
Here's a page with all sorts of stuff about Australian aviator Jon Johanson, who we met in McMurdo.

Slideshows:
- General information and getting to Christchurch
- The flight down to McMurdo
- Getting ready to go
- Hanging around McMurdo: Though we had a lot of work to do in McMurdo, we had some free time to entertain ourselves in our first days on the ice.
- The South Pole: Because our field site was far away from McMurdo, we staged through the Pole and spent about a day there.
- Meteorite Collection: This is what it's all about. We collected as many meteorites as we could find, every day that we could brave the LaPaz weather. It was incredible to be the first people to find these beautiful little objects that unlock the mysteries of the solar system.
- Camping Basics: Everyday life in a remote Antarctic field camp is no picnic, Even though ANSMET is a well-oiled machine after 25 years, and camp life ran pretty smoothly, it's a lot of work just to stay warm and comfortable.
- LaPaz: Crazybeautiful ANSMET life. Mostly of interest to field party members.
- Returning to McMurdo: Our beautiful flight back and cleaning up the gear.
- McMurdo II: Hanging out in McMurdo on the return trip and leaving for Christchurch.
