Death Valley, April 1, 2006: Day 4
After the (very time consuming) incidents of Day 3, we had to play catch-up on Day 4 and cover a great deal of ground. First we went to Salt Creek and saw some desert pupfish. Then we went to Ventifact Ridge to look at the wind-blasted rocks called ventifacts. Next we saw a large salt flat with interesting formations before heading to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the northern hemisphere. After a brief stop to talk about evidence for Snowball Earth theory, we ended the day at Kelso Dunes.
