The Far Corners Of Creation: Mortals and Others

Note that this section includes known (or at least apparent) mortal humans, people who have been referenced (but never met), people whose metaphysical status is unclear, Dragon Kings, and automata, along with anyone else who doesn't fit another category.

Ambition's Edge: Name found on a plate in front of a fine marble statue at the bottom of the Pyramid of the Sun. A crude spear stuck out of the statue, and the plate noted that she had fallen in defense of the Western Temple, "that it might not fall to the creeping darkness."

Cathak Artos: A young, teen-aged boy, child of Cathak Marsenna. Eris took him on as an apprentice of sorts, in her role as a merchant, whereby he signed on to gain experience in exchange for nominal payment and general labor.

Asher Halfhand: Highest known member of the Brotherhood of the Golden Serpent. His position seems to involve going from town to town in the Haslanti League (and surrounding areas, possibly), seeking items desired by the Golden Serpent him- or herself.

Black Reed: Captain of the ship Cerulean Cestus, member of the Azure Hook Syndicate.

Brass Leviathan: A huge (40 feet long) automaton which swims through the seas of the West. It attacks Realm shipping to avenge the Usurpation.

Donobe: Crewman on the Cerulean Cestus. To pay off his gambling debts, he sold one of the ship's Dragon Kings to a casino and was subsequently sold as a slave himself.

Ebb Tide: Hunter and fisherman of Guin.

Em: Young girl who steered the ferry from Dark Passage to the Heptagram. She beat Roan at Gateway, and apparently later spoke with "Kame Tal." Her nature is unclear.

Ethras, Who Is Freed: A Dragon King purchased at the Azure slave market by the Circle. He was on the verge of breaking through to sentience and was helped across that threshold by Ssathra, Who Remains.

Gossamer: Wife of Two Ox, lives with him in Guin. Looks about as fragile as her name, reaching the end of her life.

Japheth Foamhair: Once a pirate, a low ranking member of a Lintha crew, Japheth was the one pirate who switched sides following an offer of amnesty during a battle versus the Lintha ship Siaka's Embrace. He was bound to Arroyo's service via an oath administered by Roan.

Jenzo the Slow: Archon of Skerreth Greymane. Notably overweight, his function for Skerreth is unclear.

Maseha: Originally an advisor to the Feathered One of Abalone, Maseha ascended to that role himself following the previous Feathered One's sacrifice to "Kame Tal." While he is aware that "Kame Tal" does not wish to continue receiving sacrifices, he has continued the appearance of such to maintain Abalone's impressive degree of law and order. He is notably physically deformed, suffering from a severe hunchback and clubfoot, among other things.

Maraska: Woman first encountered as a prisoner on the Siaka's Embrace--though she showed that she wasn't exactly hindered by the chains. She beat Roan at cards, with their clothes as the wagers, then disappeared. She showed up later as the sometime-manager of the Diving Sea Snake Casino in Mantaville, employee of Plentimon.

Orchid Coral: Prefect of Eagle Prefecture. Married to Sesus Lilon.

Orchid Sand: Governor of Eagle's Launch. Son of Orchid Coral.

Red Harrah: Archon of Skerreth Greymane, she apparently serves him primarily as muscle. Boisterous drinker, easily bored. It was her gossiping that let Sesus Hassop and the Circle know about the missing Nellens Gyrath.

Sesus Lilon: Husband of Orchid Coral.

Star: A young woman from the Southeast, her tongue was removed by Taras Mellot, her former owner, as part of his plan to make her as miserable as possible. Star, it happens, is a skilled dreamer, able to record incredibly vivid and exciting dreams into dreamstone, and the more miserable her life, the better her dreams. She was purchased by Roan and freed from slavery, and now serves as general help on board the Rocinante.

Taras Mellot: A merchant from Gem, who primarily trades in dream crystals. Star was formerly his best dreamer, until he sold her for a high price to Roan.

Two Ox: Headman of Guin, he appears to have been quite strong in his youth, but is now showing his age. Married to Gossamer.

Violet Bloom: Granddaughter of Willow, lives in Blackwater, known only by reference.

Whipporwill: Hidesously ugly man from Niche, who left his home looking for a solution to the raids of the Varajtul cannibals. He was caught in the enchantment of Ivory Duke. When the group freed the town, he convinced them to come back to his home with him, though there appears to be more to his story since he then summoned a demon.

Willow:Old woman from Guin. She is blind and seems to be almost lost in her memories, though she responds coherently to direct questions. Has a granddaughter, Violet Bloom, in Blackwater.
