On the island of Abalone, in the Wavecrest Archipelago, several unrelated individuals came together, discovering that they were the heirs of the powers and memories of an ancient Circle of Solar Exalts. Since that time, they have wandered Creation, from the periphery to the heart, even journeying to heaven, looking for the guidance, allies, and tools they need to fulfill the potential they hold.

First Story: Goddesses Gone Wyld

Tani, Hunter, and Roan met for the first time in the harbor of Abalone, defeating a Wyld-mutated beast and recognizing each other from their memories of previous lives. Learning of the islanders' habit of sacrificing lawbreakers to sate the hunger of the local volcano-goddess, Ka'Me Tal, they decided to investigate. In the process, they rescued the Exalting Murasaki from a group of Dynast hunters and discovered an ancient Manse which had once belonged to Hunter's previous self.

In the volcano they found a raksha freehold, a pocket of Wyld run by Fair Folk who had duped an elemental into believing herself a goddess, one in a long succession of such. They revealed the truth to the elemental and turned her against the Fair Folk, destroying the freehold in the process.

Story Two: Around The Realm In Eighteen Days

In response to a letter from Roan's neice, the group sets out for the Heptagram. Along the way, they find Aroyo floating in the sea and defeat a ship of Lintha pirates. A distracting interlude involving an Immaculate monk ends up with the group ferrying him to the Imperial City, leading them to almost completely circumnavigate the Blessed Isle before reaching the Heptagram.

At the Heptagram, the group learns Roan's neice is facing great difficulties due to having some demonic blood. They fix most of her problems at the school and deal with an antagonistic student during a visit to the ruined Solar city of Versino. Murasaki leaves the group.

Story Three: Stairway to Yu-Shan

The group travels to the Pyramid of the Sun (an island in the far West), joining up with Sabien and Tamlo en route. They have encounters with a hunting raksha and the Brass Leviathan before encountering the true Leviathan, who makes them promise never to return. They then travel to Yu-Shan, making contacts and discoveries before Aroyo's behavior gets him kicked out of heaven.

Story Four: A Pirate's Life For Me

The group, having learned that Aroyo can gain readmittance to Yu-Shan if he can capture a rogue god currently in the northwest of Creation, travels to the Coral Archipelago. After fending off a pirate attack, they find themselves in posession of a pirate ship and learn that a pirate group uses Dragon King slaves. When an Abyssal ship arrives in Azure, they fight its zombie crew and kill a Midnight Caste Abyssal. Setting out to free the Dragon King slaves of the Azure Hook Syndicate, they kill the Syndicate's head, capture his ship, and establish a new Dragon King colony on the island of Skagerrosoth.

Story Five: Islands Of The North

After a brief trip to an odd "island of Creation" in the Wyld, the group finds an "island of stability" in the Crushing Ice of the North, where lives the rogue god Chuul, in the ruins of Bagrash Kol's fortress. After fending off a Lunar assassin, they decide to leave, whereupon they are drawn to an island whose inhabitants and society have been remade by the Raksha lord, the Ivory Duke. From there, they make their way to Varaj, where the people of the town of Niche are preyed upon as cattle by the cannibal Varajtul barbarians. Through repeated attacks, they wipe out most of the Varajtul chiefs and shamans, leaving the barbarians disorganized and lacking much of their Wyld-lore. Entering the Wyld zone at the center of the island, they defeat a powerful chimera and find the remnants of a First Age manse, including a strange artifact whose repair leads to the ending of the Wyld zone.

Story Six: A Fire In The Hearth

The group travels north to Diamond Hearth, which they quickly learn is at the center of an Underworld plot. Two Abyssals are defeated, though at the cost of the life of Rhys. The ghost known as the Orphanmaker succeeds in converting Diamond Hearth into a shadowland, though the group defeats his forces and Sabien cleanses the area shortly thereafter, though she has to accept a deal from the ghost of her previous incarnation to gain the ability to do so.

Story Seven:

The group investigates a mysterious underground fortress before travelling on to the Plain of Pictures, where they befriend a group of Pterok.
