Season 4: The Hearts Of The Matter

Episode 82:With Malice Aforethought

Traveling to Boston, the group confronts the gargoyles who inhabit Omega's cathedral, then fight off shadow assassins. Takeda is wounded by the knife Malice; in an effort to save his life, he ends up destroying most of his memory with Oblivion. The group travels to Tibet, GHK, the South Pacific, and finally San Francisco.

Episode 83: Mists and Fools

Arriving in San Francisco on April 1, the Feast of Misrule, the group has a number of odd encounters and Teg learns more about himself. Not liking what he learns, when the group finally meets with Chien Tang, the group has the Dragon King separate Teg's spirit from the Book of Souls. The Iceheart is drained of magic in the process.

Episode 84: Trying To Find Myself

Chien Tang asks the group to take his son, Chien Miu, with them, in much the same way that Chien Tang accompanied them when they left his father's domain. Thiothar breaks the rules of San Francisco and forfeits his stake: 3 months of freedom. The group heads off to find the version of Ling Mae which, according to her visions, holds the Fireheart. Some divination problems send them to China, 1357 AD (Templar timeline), where they discover that Japan is colonizing. They then head off to the Middle East where they discover that they are running behind the other Ling Mae and her group.

Episode 85: Living With Myselves

In southeast France, in the domain of Atamara, the group finds a battle royal: the 1357-Templar versions of the splintered ones versus their 1357-Roman versions. The group eventually manages to end the fight, though both versions have lost about half their members.

Episode 86: Beats A Boulder In The Face

The group travels to 1357-Roman Zimbabwe, by way of Lake Geneva and an encounter with a much younger Koshchei. There they get in a fight with this juncture's version of Chu and a demon-machine of Atamara's. Ling Mae takes a boulder or two to her head and is critically injured. Medical attention, overseen by Masata (her dead alternate's lover) pulls her through.

Episode 87: The Duke, The Ambassador, The Druid and Her Demons

Conversations with Duke Shajula and Ambassador Chu (from 1946-Roman) reveal some interesting facts. The group sets out after Brigid and gets ambushed by her forces, including a pair of demons. After the group defeats them soundly, they track them back to their lair and try to talk Brigid out of her campaign. They fail, Brigid being surprisingly confident in her ability to take on the Duke. Returning to Zimbabwe, they find it suffering from plague.

Episode 88: Urban Renewal

The plague afflicting Zimbabwe turns out to be due to exceedingly bad feng shui, caused by Brigid's carefully planned attacks. Ling Mae uses her sorcery to repair the damage and the group heads out after Brigid again. Another ambush results in much the same conclusion. This time, however, Brigid is caused to see the light. Globetrotting follows, and the group recovers the Iceheart from 1357-Roman Rome.

Episode 89:Dragonshadows

In Teotihuacan, the arrival of Jubei from the Void causes an Iceheart/Iceheart reaction with uncertain results. Using Teg as bait, the group tracks the local cultists to the temple of Tezcatlipoca, who is revealed to be a flame dragon and wielder of the Shadowheart. A vicious battle ends in the group narrowly defeating Tezcatlipoca and picking up Ilse Freki, an SS agent who is actually a mole for Die Gartnerin's resistance.

Episode 90: Chasing Shadows

The group takes the Shadowheart to a gate along the Mississippi River, acquiring Cora Eats-Two-Portions as an observer. Taking the Shadowheart into the Netherworld proves to be a mistake, and they end up making a run for 1357-Templar, where they lose the Heart. An encounter with Shambhala and the destruction of an Aztec temple follow.

Episode 91: Maneuvers In The Dark

The whim of Weaver Between leaves the group with no one who understands where they are or what they are doing. They end up proceeding north and arranging an uprising to overthrow the Aztec control of Copan.

Episode 92: Dragonshadows, Revisited

After attempting to repeat the Copan maneuver at Palenque, the group instead finds themselves in Teotihuacan, where they battle this timeline's version of Tezcatlipoca, now armed with a full-strength Shadowheart. They eventually prevail, freeing "Quetzalcouatl," who turns out to be the Smith.

Episode 93: Talking Heads

A long conversation is held with the Smith, revealing much about the nature of the world. In the end, the group decides to take the Shadowheart to the ghost of the original timeline. Along the way, they fight a number of beasties, including a centipede made of human heads.
