A number of characters appear in regular roles, though they're not the stars. None of these are thought to be members of any faction.
Shen Kar Wai
Played by Lam Wai
Proprietor of The Noodle Pagoda, the restaurant which is right above The Steel
Wheel. He's very friendly towards the cast, though he's a bit creeped out by
Chad's style of eating.
Carina Shen
Played by Vivian Leung Sui Bing
Kar Wai's daughter, she prefers to use the Western name order. She helps
Kar Wai run The Noodle Pagoda. She is friendly towards the cast, though very
shy. She's fairly proficient in first aid.
Inspector William Six
Played by Marc Alaimo
A local police inspector, William Six is in charge of the investigation of
apparent random park bombings, and also happened to be involved when the group
got in a running gun battle with the Thorns (...and Mayhem To Go), and so has
repeatedly run into Johnny Else, who stands around trying to explain what he's
been doing there. It's hard to tell how much he believes of what Johnny
tells him.
Wan Ba
Mr. Wan has actually only appeared once, but his presence is felt pretty often. He was the owner of the Steel Wheel, and helped the group out of a tight fix. He then promptly left town, leaving the Wheel to the group, even though they were already the nominal owners...see Wan Kung, below.
Wan Kung
This Mr. Wan is the 1850's ancestor of the above Mr. Wan; probably grandfather
or great-grandfather, it's hard to say for sure. He was having legal problems
with his gambling house because he was Chinese, so after the group helped him
out with a problem, he proposed that Jack Syracuse be the owner in name, while
he ran the place. This arrangement was apparently left in place for 150 years,
even though the legal situation changed a lot. He is very friendly towards
the group.
Samuel and Samantha Honjo
These fraternal twins are the dayshift and evening shift bartenders at the Steel Wheel. Samuel is a bit of a lecher, and is regularly beaten by Rong Wei, while Samantha gets along with her and the rest of the group on far better terms. They live in fairly spartan quarters in the back of the Steel Wheel.
Rose McKenna
Played by Ariauna Albright
Rose is the late-night shift bartender at the Steel Wheel. She hasn't gotten
to know the group all that well yet.
Dmitri Josefovitch Kosev
Dmitri is the dayshift dealer at the Steel Wheel. He has a faint Russian accent, is incredibly pale, and is easily spooked. He lives in quarters at the Steel Wheel which he always keeps locked.
Ilona Potter
Ilona is the eveningshift dealer at the Steel Wheel. She seems like a late 30-ish housewife more than a dealer. She's very polite, though she doesn't always know how to handle awkward situations.
Mei
Mei (family name unknown) is a little girl in the village of 3 Hills
Harmonious Glade (China, 69 AD). Her family was killed when the bandit
gang of Yo Wa attacked to steal their collected taxes.
Susie Jenkins
Susie Jenkins is a little girl in Virginia City, 1850 (somewhat surprising
since it wasn't founded until 1859 or so). Her family was murdered by
Vallente, and she originally mistook Jack Syracuse for Vallente.
Simon Longfellow
Played by: Lee Van Cleef
A gambler encountered in 1850 Virginia City. Our heroes are sure he's something more than a simple gambler, though they aren't sure just what.
The Koala
This animal is rather oversized for a koala, though still nowhere near full human size. It was originally found with Dr. Jack Martel, but seems to have adopted the group and lives in the Steel Wheel. It has never spoken, but does show evidence of understanding speech.
