Tharkold is an Earth where demons somehow got invited to the party and decided to stick around and run the place. During an invasion of Kadandra, they got exposed to cybernetics and really liked them.

They attempted to invade Core Earth as part of the coordinated effort, but their stelae were detected and uprooted by the former Soviet Psychic Research Group, headed by Katrina Rostov. More recently, there have been signs suggesting their presence in Los Angeles.
