The Royal Flush Gang
Status: Enemy
Reality: Nile Empire
The Royal Flush Gang is a criminal gang currently dominating Cairo, Egypt.
While they have the usual assortment of gunmen, bootleggers, and bullyboys
working for them, their primary claim to fame lies in their leadership, who
dress as the top cards of spades, and use appropriate Weird Science gadgetry
to back them up.
Fugitive Group C first encountered them in Cairo in April 1995. There have
been a couple of inconclusive fights with them, leading in both cases to
the Gang's escape.
One gadget all of the Gang uses is the Flying Card. Each rides a platform
designed to look like their particular card which flies and is maneuevered
approximately like a surfboard.
The Membership
- Ten
- Ten is quite clearly the low man on the totem pole. He doesn't
particularly care about Fugitive Group C one way or the other and just wants
to run Cairo in luxury. In battle, he carries the "Shuffler" which
causes the various Gang members to switch places.
- Jack
- Jack has only one eye, with the eyepatch he wears only accentuating his
resemblance to Sparks. He seems to like
using his fists.
- Queen
- Queen throws grenades that look like the various suit symbols. Clubs
release a stun gas, diamonds are flash grenades, hearts are a very sticky goo.
It's not currently known what spades do, as she hasn't yet used them in
the group's encounters with Fugitive Group C. She has an odd sort of
relationship going with LeMorte.
- King
- King uses a sword that fires an electro-ray. He runs most day-to-day
affairs of the Gang. He has a bit of a grudge against
Samedi, who has three times cut his Flying Card
out from under him. When pressed for a reason for why he hates Chrome, he
was unable to articulate it; for some reason, he has just fixated on him.
King was the boss of the Stedman gang, before Ace showed up.
- Ace
- Ace was recently revealed to be a robot. Since he was the effective
leader of the group, this implies someone else has been pulling the strings.
Kathryn took control of him with a spell
and then deactivated him. He has been stored in Teotihuacan as a trophy of
sorts.
