Sword Of God Jericho

Reality: Cyberpapacy

Sword Of God Jericho is an elite team of agents of the Cyberpapacy. Their primary mission seems to be dealing with Fugitive Group C, though it may be a bit broader than that. Jacques seems to be the leader, but Father DuMont also seemed to have authority.

They were first encountered at a monastery near the small town of Roncesvalles. In the ensuing melee, most of both sides were notably wounded, but Fugitive Group C severely damaged the monastery and escaped.

They were next encountered in St. Louis, when both they and Fugitive Group C were attempting to stop Damien Foxmoor, from performing unholy rites. Father DuMont and Roger LeGrand were severely injured in this battle when Sparks rammed a truck into their vehicle, during an initial period of confusion. In the end, the two groups teamed up to defeat Foxmoor.

Later, after Fugitive Group C's actions resulted in the Cyberpapacy losing New England, Sword Of God Jericho was sent to capture them and bring them to Avignon for exectution. As it happened, Fugitive Group C had just discovered a plot of Mobius that would destroy Avignon. Convincing SGJ of the danger, the two teams banded together again and flew to Avignon. In the ensuing battle, Avignon was saved but Malreaux was slain. The fate of Sword Of God Jericho is currently unknown.

Membership

Jacques Petain: A grand-nephew of the WWI hero and WWII villain, Jacques is a Knight Hospitaller and the leader of Sword of God Jericho. He has been a resolute but courteous opponent of Fugitive Group C and seems to have a strong personal code of honor.

Dominique Chevalier: A cyborg to the extreme, Dominique is known to have no external skin left and is believed to be essentially a brain in a robot body, though she appears human to casual inspection. Oddly for an elite soldier of the Cyberpapacy, Dominique seems to be a complete innocent, blindly following Malreaux because he is the Holy Father. She and Ta'eesh fell in love, an apparent case of opposites attracting. For a while, she was the host of the electrical being which Cross had become. She was left comatose after the "Avignon Armageddon".

Father Dumont: The team's first cyberpriest. A diehard fanatic, he was relentlessly opposed to reaching any accomodations with Fugitive Group C. He was killed in the battle against Damien Foxmoor.

Father Dominquez: The team's second cyberpriest. Fugitive Group C actually met him long before the rest of Sword Of God Jericho, when he was doing "missionary work" in Guatemala. For a cyberpriest, he was unusually open-minded and tolerant.

Marie Chalmas: Marie's role on the team is not clear. She has evidenced no cyberware whatsoever, but moves inhumanly fast and is an ace shot with a GodLight. Marie appears to be nearly completely self-centered, and not an actual believer in the faith at all.

Marie seems to act fairly quickly, not particularly thinking things through, but her incredible reaction speed lets her usually get away with it. She was badly wounded in the first encounter with Fugitive Group C, but pulled through.

She has had a brief fling with Sparks.

Roger LeGrand: A former race car driver who is the pilot for Sword Of God Jericho. Priot to the invasion he was a bitter rival of Sparks, feeling that the other was a glorified mechanic and not a real driver. He has maintained the rivalry ever since. He is known to have a cyberjack.
