Biography

Isa Tharend has lived a much stranger life than most, even in these strange times. She was born into the noble House Tharend, on Aysle. She grew to be eldest child of the House, and a paladin in the service of Lady Pella Ardinay. During Uthorion's invasion of Aysle, she was probably the most valiant warrior of all, but she fell to Uthorion while defending Castle Aysle, swearing to return and vanquish him.

A century later, Aysle, under the rule of a strangely altered Lady Ardinay, invaded Earth. A young woman named Susan Weissman, similar in appearance but not identical to Isa, is struck dead by a reality storm. She revives, slightly altered...the reincarnation of Isa Tharend.

Isa moved around this strange new world, fighting to protect it from the invasion, so like the invasion of Aysle she had died fighting off. She helped restart the Earth's rotation and find the Destiny Map. She was killed in the fight against the Dark Wizard Amethyst, to recover the Possibility Chalice.

But, almost immediately, she was reincarnated again, this time in the body of an Ayslish farmgirl who had been killed in an accident. Consulting with the mysterious mage Ambrose, she learned that she was part of a mysterious prophecy, that would act to keep her alive as long as she stayed on the path to fulfilling the prophcecy. She then went on to the Forever City, to light the Signal Fire, but was killed in final battle against Victor Kingman.

After a few months, she was reincarnated again, but the process was much longer and more painful. She accompanied her friends into CyberFrance, where she helped destroy a concentration camp, and she was also on the raid which destroyed the space station Firmament. Following this, she returned to Aysle, to talk to Ambrose and learn more about her destiny.

She then spent a while fighting assorted evils on her own, culminating in her tracking down Don Pyrus, the crimelord responsible for the death of her friend H'hodaraak Phaa. She was killed by a servant of the Don's while trying to save innocents.

Reincarnating in London, she rejoined her friends in Fugitive Group C, though there weren't many of them left. With them, she travelled to the stronghold of Uthorion and fulfilled the prophecy that had been a part of her many lives for so long, killing Uthorion and dying in the process, this time for good.
