Description: This object is a perfect sphere, about 6 inches across. It is apparently made of gold, though its mass suggests that it is mostly hollow.
Circumstances Of Discovery: The golden sphere was found in a glowing room in the underwater Temple Of The Possibility Chalice. Later, another one was found in a pyramid belonging to Mintaka's people.
Function: According to Arthur Tree, the golden spheres are 'pacification devices' for a species of Guardian. When an appropriate mental/verbal command is given, the sphere emits a golden light which supposedly causes the Guardian to become docile.
