While crossing the Cyberpapal stormfront,
Sparks
transforms back to Core Earth reality. His cybereye disappears,
and he is left with an empty eyesocket.
The group returns to Bremen.

Fujiwara
informs the group that the Kanawa Corporation is holding
an eternity shard in a facility near Tunis. Sparks stays behind,
feeling ill, but the rest of the group travels to
Tunis, where they eventually find the facility. While attacking
the facility, Fujiwara appears at the door! After a martial
arts duel, they learn that they "rescued"
Tanaka,
not Fujiwara, from the Kanawa facility in Zurich. They meet
Mara-24
and her group,
the Gatekeepers.

While sitting outside Mara-24's facility,
Chrome
is visited by
Damien Foxmoor,
who informs Chrome that he has about two weeks to find him.
The group spends the day recuperating and talking to Mara. She tells them
about some mysterious signals she has received that suggest intercosm
travel has been taking place in Los Angeles. When an examination of
Chrome reveals a Tharkoldu symbiote that was not there prior to his last
visit to L.A., a possible conclusion is easy to draw.

The group disagrees somewhat about what goal is most important to seek next.
Chrome settles the issue by taking the blimp and Ta'eesh and leaving to
seek Damien. Fujiwara and Sparks decide that they will go to Los Angeles.

After arriving in Los Angeles, Fujiwara and Sparks are attacked by ninjas
who heavily damage the battlevan. They are helped by
"Jim", who turns out to be one of
Mintaka's people.
After fixing the van somewhat, the group ends up going to Disneyland, as
Fujiwara has never been there. There they find evidence of a demon,
whom they track to Sleeping Beauty's castle. They eventually kill the
demon, named Strekh, destroying the
castle in the process.
Meanwhile, Ta'eesh and Chrome arrive in Aysle, where Ta'eesh consults
his contacts and casts various spells.

Fujiwara, Jim, and Sparks rest in hospital, recovering from wounds suffered
at the hands of Strekh.
Meanwhile, Ta'eesh continues his research.

11/7/94

In Aysle, Ta'eesh continues his research, finally finding the
right spell. Casting it, he locates Damien in St. Louis.

11/8/94
-
Chrome and Ta'eesh arrive in St. Louis surreptitiously; meanwhile,
Fujiwara and Sparks get the word to go to St. Louis.

11/9/94
-
Fujiwara and Sparks arrive in St. Louis and join up with Chrome and
Ta'eesh, learning that a series of ritualistic murders has taken place.
They are able to figure out that the next murder will be at Lambert
Field on the night of the 10th.
At the St. Louis Arch, Fujiwara and Sparks are able to detect a pentagram
around the Arch, which investigation reveals to be made of copper.
Investigation of zombie reports reveals two zombies making copper banding.
They are dispatched.

Fujiwara breaks the pentagram around the Arch while Chrome provides a
distraction; this results in Chrome becoming a wanted criminal.
The group flees to East St. Louis with the remaining copper from the
zombie-run foundry. They ditch the copper.
Sparks places a phone call to police, reporting a breakin at an address
where they know another zombie to be located. This eventually results in
six cops getting killed before they take the zombie out with a flame
thrower borrowed from the local Spartans.
Meanwhile, the group stakes out Lambert Field, also alerting the cops.
When Damien appears, they head for him, but tangle with the CyberFrench
group they had previously met in Spain first. Eventually, the two sides
iron out their differences for the moment and team up against Damien.
Chrome invokes a reality storm upon Damien (who isn't really there)
and loses, transforming into a Chromium Bone Golem, for lack of a better
term. Damien's ceremony is ruined.

The group rests and recuperates, waiting for the big day, but Sparks only
gets worse, due to the poison still in him.

11/13/94
-
With Sparks' condition worsening, the group turns to the potions they
found in Uthorion's castle. Over the next few days, they try half
a dozen potions.

Sparks finally gets the right potion and is cured of the poison.

Damien kidnaps a troop of Girl Scouts for use in his rites, missing one,
Suzie Ito.

11/18/94
-
Fujiwara scans the mind of Suzie Ito, and the group realizes that the
final game of the Western baseball playoffs is somehow involved. They
find a pentagram around Busch Stadium. They decide to watch both the
game and the Arch from their blimp.
When Damien begins a rite, Khrom parachutes into the stadium. Some spectators
are killed, but Damien's current zombie-body is destroyed before too many die.
The action shifts to the Arch, where Damien manages to summon Tchernabolg,
a huge demon. Sword of God Jericho helps out. Sparks borrows SGJ's Osprey
and flies to Lambert Field where he steals a 747 and brings it back to
ram it into Tchernabolg. The impact knocks it back through the Arch and
destroys the Arch, closing the gate.

The group has dinner with Sword Of God Jericho. Sparks has a fling with
Marie Chalmas.

Fujiwara sends an anonymous letter to the San Diego newspapers sports editors,
describing the evidence that some members of the Boston Red Sox are actually
cybernetically enhanced. Though it is only printed as the ravings of a lunatic
fan, it's enough to trigger the paranoia the Law of Suspicion has caused
in New Englanders, leading to an incredible amount of tension building up.

The group travels to Provincetown and finds one of the Cyberpapal stelae.
They decide that the best way to affect the World Series is by becoming
umpires and using Core Earth talismans to disrupt the cyborg players.
