Together once more, the group decides to go to Guatemala, to
investigate the mysterious
Mintaka.

Arriving in Mexico City, the group buys a truck and heads south.
They deal with some bandits along the way.
In Aysle, the Army of Light heads north into Scotland. They are defeated
in a thorough rout which becomes known as the Hadrian Massacre.

Ta'eesh
recognizes the passing scenery from the images of Mintaka in
the Golden Computer...specifically the mountain of Huehuentango.
The group stops in a small village, meeting
Padre Dominguez.
Dinner with the Padre is interrupted by a report of a horrible attack.
Investigating, it is found to be the actions of a zombie, which the
party deals with.
Chrome
is convinced it is the work of
Damien Foxmoor.

The party heads for some abandoned mines which have been the site of
some unusual activity lately. They find some corpses and are attacked
by natives. On questioning, a native reveals that 'the gods are
returning', and identifies Mintaka as one of the gods. The group
goes to the nearby ruins and finds a secret chamber beneath a pyramid,
which contains a creature like one they fought in the Temple Of The
Possibility Chalice. They kill it.
After an extended conversation with a tree
(Arthur Tree),
and learning a number of things, the group has a confrontation with Damien
Foxmoor outside the pyramid. Although they destroy one of his zombies, he
escapes unharmed, after cutting off Chrome's nose.
