"The Day The Earth Stood Still"

The Earth's rotation has been halted, and the effects on the Earth's climate are mounting. H'hodaraak Phaa, Isa Tharend, and Black Lightning discover a strange plot to use the energy stolen from the Earth's spin. They foil a scheme to arm the gospog of the Living Land with Nile Empire rifles and travel from Indiana to Egypt via a digging machine. There they steal a plane and fly to Indonesia, where they discover the machine responsible for stopping the Earth. AFter fighting the guardians of the machine, they reverse it and start the Earth spinning again.

"A Christmas Island Carol"

While trying to fly to Australia from the site of the Earth-stopping machine, our heroes' plane crashes on Christmas Island. Our heroes wage a valiant and protracted battle against Dr. Victor Kingman, the vampire master of the island, finally defeating (but not destroying) the undead creature.

"Stormy Weather"

While taking a commercial flight from Australia to Ireland, an Orrorshan reality storm envelops the plane. Our heroes fight off a co-pilot who has been transformed into a beast, animated seatbelts and oxygen masks, and a creature on the wing. The party gets their first real publicity here when the passengers of the plane are interviewed by the media.

"Loch, Stock, and Barrel"

Searching for a mysterious benefactor of Isa, the party heads into Scotland, where they discover an army of Darkness preparing to invade the lands of the Light, massing on the shores of Loch Ness. Our heroes gravely wound the dragon now living in Loch Ness, free Isa's patron, Mr. Ambrose, kill the leaders of the army, and run away with the army's payroll.

"Power Cyp-ply"

The party is embroiled in a complex scheme to drive all of the power companies of London out of business, except for one. In the process, they drive off a party of half-folk and cow a dragon. In the final battle against the forces of a faerie crime organization, H'hodaraak is killed.

"Idol Pursuits"

The party travels to Egypt in search of a mysterious 'Shard' known as the Idol of Osiris. On the way, they free an entire hypnotized town, join up with an ex-LAPD SWAT officer named Leroy 'Holmes' Washington, and get conned by an old man who turns out to be a Cyberpapal agent known as JF8. In the end, our heroes escape with the Idol and head out in pursuit of JF8.

"The Destiny Map"

Following JF8 to Atlanta, our heroes are joined by Gerard Etienne and Fujiwara as they discover a research facility apparently run by ninjas. After the leader of the ninjas, Osato, is bested in a reality storm by Holmes, he swears vengeance against him. Later, the facility is destroyed, but not before the party learns of a scheme to trade A-bomb plans to the Nile Empire in exchange for something called the 'Destiny Map'.

Proceeding to a dig in the Living Land, our heroes engage in a battle with the forces of the Nile, then escape with the tiles of the Destiny Map. Following the map, they proceed to the Far East, where they find a mysterious lost temple, and the Nile's forces find them. Barricading themselves in the temple, the party survives an ambush by JF8, killing him. After learning what they need to know, our heroes break out of the temple, defeating the Nile shocktroopers.

"The Possibility Chalice"

Following the instructions from the temple of the Destiny Map, our heroes travel to Thailand and a sunken temple with a Kanawa Corporation drilling rig on top of it. Eventually sneaking onto the automated rig and into the temple, they evade a series of guardians only to find that the promised 'Possibility Chalice' is in the hands of an Ayslish sage. Travelling to Aysle, they find the wizard has been kidnapped.

While searching for the sage, out heroes stumble onto a scheme to destroy the Tower of London with a huge mechanical dragon and steal the Crown Jewels. Defeating this scheme, they learn that the sage is being held in northern England. Travelling there, they defeat a number of goons and Isa's original body, reanimated by some dark power. They find the sage, dead, the Chalice taken away by the evil wizard Amethyst. They chase Amethyst's ship and defeat his Viking guards. To defeat Amethyst himself, however, Isa gives up her own life. With the Chalice, a disheartened party returns to London, where they discover Isa has been reincarnated again.

"The CyberDoc Is In"

The party travels through the partly-completed English Channel tunnel, killing a cybernetically enhanced troll, to France. They make their way cross-country to a cyberdoc that GE knows, in order to get Holmes a cybernetic hand (he had lost it to his nemesis, Osato, last adventure). Unbeknownst to the rest of the party, however, GE was operating with the advice of a Spirit Chip that he had taken from the dead body of JF8. After Holmes, GE, and Fujiwara had cyberware installed, the spirit in the chip revealed itself to GE to be JF8 himself...GE had now been rigged with a cortex bomb, so that he must obey JF8's orders.

"The Forever City"

Having returned to London, GE (under JF8's orders) sets up a meeting with 'the Resistance', but it turns out to be a trap. Fujiwara and Holmes are saved only by the intervention of Osato. Following information they get from interrogating their ambushers, our heroes go the Belgium to board the Orient Express, seeking the 'Signal Fire' they had learned of in the temple of the Destiny Map. The train turns out to be a trap; Black Lightning's soul is sucked out of his body and trapped in the GodNet, while the rest of the party is heavily wounded. The party meets Katarina Raskolnikov, who develops an intense interest in Fujiwara (an interest which is reciprocated). The mysterious Cyranno joins our heroes.

Escaping the train, our heroes head for the Himalayas, which is where the temple said to take the Chalice. Plagued by bad dreams, they make their way through obstacles including a Nile Empire dirigible. They find an entire hidden city, abandoned for apparently centuries. In this city, they fight a force of zombies led by the vampire Victor Kingman; defeating the undead that used to be their friends, they light the Signal Fire and apparently destroy Victor Kingman, at the cost of Isa's life (again). Passing through a newly-opened gate, the party ends up in Spain, where Holmes defeats a ravagon, saving a small child.

"You're In The Army Now"

Toshi Ito, the boy Holmes rescued from the ravagon previously, decides to follow the group around. Our heroes hook up with a somewhat vague resistance organization, associated with the Germany government (with 'agents' in the militaries of Israel, Spain, and England, with implied governmental involvement). The party heads into CyberFrance in search of information, both for their new employer and on the whereabouts of Black Lightning's soul. In France, they discover Lon Chaney about to be burned at the stake. Rescuing him, they fight off a small army of gospog and flee, pursued by Church Police. In the woods of France, they encounter an elvish mage calling himself Jack Blue, who helps Holmes with his cyberware. Looking for more information, the party makes it to Basel. A very long battle with the Church Police ensues; Cyranno is killed, and the party is led to safety by John Connor. After a long chase and running battle, the party escapes back out of CyberFrance. "We'll Always Have Paris"

Heading back into Cyberfrance, the party works their way through France, stealing a God's Word Industries truck. Isa having been reincarnated by now, she rejoins the party. Eventually making it to Paris, they are attacked by a gang of HOGs. GE turns out to have radiation poisoning from the destruction of the GWI truck's reactor, and is checked into a hospital. The mage Cross joins the party. Our heroes make a deal with the Tri gang to free the prisoners from a concentration camp near Nantes in exchange for assistance in freeing BL's soul from the GodNet. "Stalag 13"

Escaping Paris by fighting their way through a coven of gospog 'witches', the party makes their way to Nantes, where they get in a battle with a inspection party. Later, they assault the concentration camp in an extremely drawn out battle. The prisoners are freed, but Holmes gets his legs blown off in a C5 explosion. Our heroes pile into the last of the waiting trucks (the others have already carted off the escapees), only to be gassed into unconsciousness.

"Assault On The Heavens"

The party awakens to find themselves prisoners of their old nemesis, Osato. He has spared them because he needs their help for an attack on the CyberPapal space station Firmament. Holmes' current problem has been handled by giving him primitive Nippon Tech cybernetics. Our heroes agree reluctantly. Osato sneaks them into the ground facilities where they kill the real crew of the shuttle, then they sneak on board and launch.

On board the station, one group takes control of the command center, while the other heads for the engines which are providing gravity. In the command center, Osato turns on the party, paralyzing Holmes (except for his cyberarm) and knocking out the others. With the assistance of a mysterious little robot, Holmes is able to nevertheless shoot Osato with a maser, taking him down. Meanwhile, the other group has freed Thalchek, a demonic being who proceeds to wreck the station before escaping in a lifepod. Discovering that the mysterious robot was being controlled by BL's disembodied soul, the party downloads him to a Spirit Chip and escapes in a CyberPapal shuttle, bringing it down in Germany.

"Meet Malekith"

,
With Isa off visiting Ambrose, and Fujiwara in search of Katarina, Jack Blue appears to Holmes (now Chrome), Cross, and Mike (who has been returned to his own body). He tells them that he will be able to cure Toshi's condition if they can procure a powerful stone endowed with the Metal Arcane Knowledge. He knows of one such, in the possession of Malekith, a Dark Ayslish provincial governor...who will be reinforced in a few days.

The party heads into Sweden and sneaks into Malekith's castle. After defeating the guardians, they are confronted by an apparently-Orrorrshan necromancer-type named Damien Foxmoor. Chrome ends up incurring his enmity before mortally wounding and driving him off. The party frees an earth spirit and finds the item and leaves, but Malekith returns home and sics a gigantic gospog dragon-wolf on them. They defeat it and Mike gloriously intimidates a battalion of giants, then they escape with the assistance of the earth spirit they freed. Toshi gets cured.

"By Demons Chas'd"

Fujiwara returns from searching for Katrina, with the news that the demon Talchek is chasing her. The party flies to Kenya, where they discover the wreckage of Project Omen, a secret Russian psychic project. They follow Thalcheck's (and Katrina's) trail into the Nile Empire and down an incredibly deep pit, where they find the Land Below. After battling Professor Sharif and freeing Katrina from the Dorooni Wasp Riders, Thalchek is destroyed in a gigantic battle, but at the cost of Cross's life. Home

They rescue him and return to Bremen, though Sparks loses an eye in the process.

"Switchback"

Fujiwara leads the group to Tunisia, in search of an Eternity Shard held by the Kanawa Corporation. After a skirmish with some Nile shocktroopers and later with some ninjas, they end in a fight with the people at the Kanawa facility...but then Fujiwara shows up, revealing that the 'Fujiwara' the others had rescued was actually Tanaka! Melee ensues, and Tanaka flees.

"Meet Me In St. Louis"

The group tracks Damien Foxmoor to St. Louis, where he is committing a series of ritualistic murders. The murders culminate in a failed attempt to sacrifice the crowd at the seventh game for the pennant, and a momentarily succesful attempt to summon a demon through the St. Louis Arch. Damien is defeated through the destruction of the Arch by Sparks in a 747.

"Take Me Out To The Ball Game"

The group travels to Cyberpapal New England for the World Series. They infiltrate the game as umpires (and Khrom as the San Diego Chicken) and use baseball talismans to counter the CyberRedSox' unfair advantage. The game ends when Khrom taunts the cybernetically enhanced players into a psychotic rage, causing them to reveal their cyborg status on national television. They then pull one of the stelae in their area, destroying the maelstrom bridge.

"Avignon Armageddon"

A message from Mara-24 sends the group back to Los Angeles, to deal with a new Tharkoldu technodemon. Immediately after doing so, they have to deal with a Nile Empire Battle Pyramid piloted by the Brain Of Professor Sharif, which leads them to a Weird Science Laboratory under the Temple Of Karnak in Egypt. There they learn that a Super Reality Bomb has been planted under the Cyberpope's palace in Avignon.

Hurrying to Avignon, summoning every ally they can to help, they have to fight their way through the military might of the Church and then confront Malreaux himself. As Mike tries to disarm the SuperReality Bomb, Cross possesses Malreaux, aided by the psychic powers of Fujiwara. Mike, the bomb, and the basement all disappear, while the pseudo-Pope publically thanks Fugitive Group C for saving France. Ta'eesh kills the helpless body of the cyberpope, and the group flees France.

Travelling to the End Of The World, Ta'eesh confronts his father, who is revealed to be Corba'al, the Entity God. Corba'al posesses Ta'eesh, and with the help of Umbras holds off the rest of the group until Ta'eesh is finally able to gain control for long enough to allow Fujiwara to use the Reforged Sword to kill him. The group leaves via several portal-pools, scattering them somewhat.

"Zombies, Jaguars, and Keefee Haroo, Oh My!"

Arriving in Guatemala, Sparks and Khrom meet Yewshoot, a Keefee Haroo who happens to be lookiing for Khrom. They fight a werejaguar and eventually figure out that Damien Foxmoor is trying to create a new Aztec Empire, using an ancient Darkness Device. Damien is killed, and the DD is entombed beneath the wreckage of Teotihuacan. To make sure, the group moves the Battle Pyramid and parks it on top of the DD.

"One Ring To Rule Them All..."

The group heads to L.A., looking for some way to strike back at Nippon Tech. They meet Tarenthellin and learn that he was responsible for the plague that killed most of the edeinos. A brawl ensues, with inconclusive results, except that they end up with a ring that happens to be The Seal Of Solomon. When they try to find evidence to shut down the Jungle King fast food chain (secretly serving edeinos burgers), they get attacked by a ninja werewolf and a ravagon after the ring. When they have to take Fuji back to base for medical help, they get attacked by a 5th planting Orrorshan gospog and Thratchen, both after the ring. Finally, the Mossad show up, wanting their ring back.

"Land Below, Land Above, Same Difference"

The group decides to go help out the Mossad SK Team, recovering from a horrible battle with both Mobius' forces and ninjas. They sneak into the Nile. In Cairo, seeking information, they have a run-in with the Royal Flush Gang, but learn that the Land Below seems to be a focus of Mobius' activities. After a train trip and another fracas involving the Royal Flush Gang, they make it to the Land Below. Wiping out a shocktrooper encampment, freeing the Ohibi from slavery, they discover that Mobius is doing something...strange...to the Land Below. Eventually, they find the huge facility he is using to attempt to bring the Land Below to the surface, merging it with the Nile proper. A huge battle with Mobius himself results in the failure of the attempt...and in fact, causes the Land Below to go the _other_ way, rising to the surface of, and merging with, the Living Land.

"Hong Kong Handover"

With England in no shape to run its overseas posessions, China decides to take possession of Hong Kong a couple of years early. No problem there, really...except a massive economic conference there indicates Kanawa involvement, and the group learns that an attack is to be made on the conference, doubtless killing many innocents. The attack, by a mercenary, formerly Cyberpapal group known as the Hammers, is foiled by the group, but is followed by an Orrorshan stela planting. With Hong Kong racked by storms, the group finds the stela and uproots it after fighting off spider-creatures and Kantaro, the ninja werewolf. Yewshoot contracts lycanthropy. Another battle with the Hammers segues into a running fight with the Chinese Army to save the hacker remnants of a Shiki cell. Home

"To Steal A Darkness Device"

First, the group discovers that Mobius has been replacing government officials around the world with automatons, and they have to deal with a fake Mexican General. Then, they get down to business.

The group heads into the Living Land Above to deal with its new High Lord, Mogaba Nar, and if possible, to steal Rec Pakken, his Darkness Device. After a skirmish in Washington D.C., wherein Baruk Kaah is killed and Al Gore is found to have been transformed to a Living Land savage, they proceed` to New York, where a massive battle leaves Mogaba Nar mortally wounded and Rec Pakken buried under Teotihuacan.

"Halloween Special"

Fujiwara has a premonitory dream suggesting at all sorts of horrors to come. Thanks to his psychic powers, the entire group has to live through it as well.

"Operation Crucible"

In conjunction with the US and Mexican Armies, the group strikes at Mobius' invasion of Texas. After a massive battle, the group pulls a stela, allowing the armies to recapture Austin and Dallas. West Texas and Houston remain conquered, however. A follow-up to one of the Houston stelae ends in a rout, with the group leaving with the stela unpulled. A strike at a facility at the Houston Intercontinental Airport results in the capturing of an unactivated stela and the destruction of a Reality Bomb Cannon...and the capturing of a Ra Walking God by an agent of Orrorsh.

"To Swallow The Sun"

Travelling to Aysle, Chrome receives a new body (his old one) through the intervention of Dunad, but shortly thereafter, all of Aysle receives an ultimatum: submit to Simon Carr, or die. The group organizes a military effort to take out Carr, then go ahead to do what they can. They interrupt a ritual which was summoning Ta'eesh/Corba'al/Umbras to devour the sun of Aysle, though not before Ra is sacrificed. Carr escapes to St. Petersburg; the group follows and destroys him in the resulting fight, sending Drakacanus to the Void.

"Rescue Mission"

The group travels to the Nile to rescue Antiope, Queen Of The Amazons. After accidentally getting caught in a boobytrap (a rocket-obelisk), they sow confusion in Mobius' court and make off with two eternity shards he was negotiating to buy.

"An Offer He Can't Refuse"

Katheryn leaves the group, but is replaced by Natasha, a Russian psychic. The new group heads to Denmark to find Don Pyrus. "Asp-Kicking Time"

The group travels to Houston to do something about the Red Asp. After some misadventures, they discover that the Asp is really Eve, who had been purported to be his mistress. Destroying a decoy-Asp, the group gets the information they needed to disarm the booby-traps set up around Houston and allow the American troops to attack. To stave off a bloodbath, Leroy speaks to the shocktroopers and manages to convince them to surrender. Some return to the Nile, others come to Teotihuacan. Eve/Asp, however, escapes.

"A Journey Of Elf Discovery"

Several of FGC go in search of Alianora. Looking for Ambrose to help them, they discover that Montgomery Edmonds has invaded Ambrose's home, but Edmonds escapes. Following a lead to Newcastle, they learn that Alianora has apparently been possessed by Tarenthellin, and that Terenthellin has also taken control of the entire Dark garrison there. They defeat most of Tarenthellin's puppets, but a nuclear golem (!?) is unleashed, only to be stopped shortly thereafter.

"FGC: Defenders Of Tokyo"

A group of psychics under Tarenthellin's control attack the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, threatening Fujiwara, Katrina, and the remaining Imperial family. They are eventually defeated, but then a gigantic Horror attacks Tokyo. Desperately striving to hold it off, the group uses Weird Science to produce another giant creature, a turtle, to defeat it, though it's a close-run thing. The turtle, which is inevitably named Gamera, is quite intelligent and becomes quite popular.

"Avignon Armageddon Redux"

Ambrose and Kathryn appear with the news that while Tarenthellin/Alianora have mostly blocked Ambrose's mystic vision, something bad is brewing in Avignon. Travelling there, they learn it's a trap. Montgomery Edmonds summons Ta'eesh/Umbras/Corba'al using Bloodseeker. Ambrose is put into a coma. Alianora is rescued from Tarenthellin's control. The ghost of JF8 posesses Fujiwara. Edmonds' mortal form is destroyed. All-in-all, a chaotic time is had.

"Meanwhile, Back At The Pyramid"

Returning to Teotihuacan, the group discovers that Tarenthellin has gained control of most of the people there, including Mara-24. A massive battle ensues, until finally all of the posessed are either freed or killed. As a last blow, Mara's Gate Generator is set to self-destruct in a horribly disrupting way. Attempts to disarm it fail, and only the invocation of Dunad saves the day, creating instead a permanent Gate between Teotihucan and House Tharend.

"Twilight Of The Space Gods"

Tarenthellin has destroyed all space facilities on Earth, and contact has been lost with Machu Picchu. The group travels there to find the High Council under siege by Tarenthellin's forces. They eventually lift the siege, learning the full story of the Comaghaz, including the fact that it has merged with Tarenthellin.

As the group prepares to travel to the Akashan mothership to fight off Tarenthellin's attempt to gain control of it, the Kanawa corporation begins pulling out. In an effort to stop this, the group convinces the Emperor of Japan to repudiate the American-imposed constitution and resume control of the country, nationalizing the Kanawa Corporation. Kanawa doesn't roll over easily, of course, but the act effectively stops the looting of the country which was going on.

In the mothership, the group is plagued by Tarenthellin, who has gained control of the ship's internal systems, local drive, and weapons. They make it to the system where Tarenthellin has transferred his core self even as Tarenthellin prepares to use the ship to destroy Tokyo. The Pentad sacrifices themself to help Isolate and destroy Tarenthellin (releasing the Comaghaz from his influence).

With Gamera's help, the mothership is brought back to Teotihuacan, where they easily overawe a Nile/Kanawa force seeking a way out of this cosm.

"Fly Me To The Moon (or Vice Versa)"

The crippled mothership and the battle pyramid are attached to each other to enable a flight to the Moon, in an effort to destroy the inscriptions allowing the Gaunt Man to draw it down. There they battle Montgomery Edmonds and assorted Horrors. Edmonds, defeated, teleports the group directly to the Gaunt Man.

As they battle the Gaunt Man for the first time, things are not going well, and Dunad is summoned. However, this is an outcome which Edmonds had predicted and prepared for, and Dunad is captured. LeRoy then opens himself up completely and is possessed by Baron Samedi, who shoves the Gaunt Man and Heketon through a Gate into the center of the Sphere, there to be imprisoned forever (hopefully).
