Education

Grissom High School
- Located in Huntsville. Grissom is named after Virgil I Grissom, one
of the astronauts who died in the Apollo 1 fire. I was in the Class of
1987, and was a member of the Grissom
Marching Band through my Junior year.
- Rice University
- Located in Houston. Rice U. was founded by William Marsh Rice. I
was a member of
Will Rice College . I graduated in 1991 with a B.A.,
majoring in
Physics , with an option in
Space Physics and Astronomy.
- University of Arizona
- Located in Tucson. I was in the Planetary Science doctoral program
here, in the Lunar and Planetary
Laboratory (LPL). I entered this program in 1991, and completed
it in 1998.
Employment
- Arizona Western College
- Located in Yuma, this was my first true, full-time job. I was Professor
of Physics and Astronomy for the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 academic years. I
had a good time there, but I missed Tucson.
- Cassini ISS
- Returning to Tucson, I joined the staff of CICLOPS, the Cassini Imaging
Central Laboratory for Operations. After about a year, CICLOPS moved to
Boulder, but I remained at LPL working for another Imaging scientist,
Alfred McEwen. This is where I work now, doing observation designs.
