This is a new photo  The crater toward the upper middle is
Trisnecker.  The rilles near the crater are barely visible
as is a smaller crater just to the right of it.  The width of
these rilles are about 0.7" .  Thus, the resolution of this
photo is about 5-8 times better than the one on the previous
page.

This photo was taken with the 10" LX200, using eyepiece
projection with a 20mm Sirius Plossl (orion) and an extension
tube giving f/60.  The film is Kodak Tech Pan and was developed
using HC-110.  The exposure time is 1 second.  The photo
was taken June 12, 2001 at about 3AM.


 

the photo below of Clavius was taken July 30th, at about 11:00 PM
the method was the same as above; except that the photo obtained
from the developer was shot using a digital camera (coolpix 950)
and enlarged to give the image below. An 11x14 made from the negative
is even nicer.
