More snow
There was no wind in sight, and the snow kept coming down. It was like a
completely different place to the one where we began! We found new ways to
keep ourselves entertained, apart from meteorite searching, so that we could
enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. Iggy Ridge as playground took on a whole
new shine when Oz stumbled onto the ice tunnel that led into a giant wind scoop.
We had many fun hours in there, as well as doing more, daring slides down steeper
Iggy hills. We also planted more ice poles, took GPS readings for ASTER images and
maps, and really got to know our Miller Range area through more rides. The
Hockey Cirque wind scoop and ice cliffs next to granite is really spectacular. We got to ring in the New
Year together in broad daylight with one of our tasty potlucks and video parties, it was lots of
fun! And we finished the igloo - it's hard to describe the peaceful, blue calm
you feel inside one of those! Videos:

and...
actually DOES slide in!
