Trip to Taylor Valley
Oz and I were able to help Brian and Wally bring in some of the reccy group's gear from their field site at the Taylor Valley. This was a short but stunning flight over McMurdo Sound and glacier-carved mountains. Many of the exposed outcrops had horizontal bedding, with formations reminiscent of the Colorado Plateau. Large, dark sills of the Ferrar Dolerite were sometimes visible.I took lots of videos during this flight:
