Meeting and Outback Excursion Aug 2012
In conjunction with the International Geological Congress meeting in Brisbane, some of us organized a field trip to the Queensland Outback to see the longest lava tube on Earth and a 500 million year old impact crater. The long drives were exciting in themselves and got us deep into the bush. The geology was spectacular and the trip as a whole rewarding.
