Four Wheeling (yeah, baby!)

Black Mountains, 2006

North west of Tucson is a little sky island in state trust lands that we explored last Saturday. It's perfect for four wheel driving roads, and although wheels spent time in the air, nothing was too gnarly. We also did some hiking among the metamorphosed and crumbling granites (great spheroidal weathering!), curly yucca grasses, and chollas. I was partially flayed by the cat claw, but I counted myself lucky there weren't any accompanying shin daggers. Jason and Gwen drove the giant yellow doggie mobile, while Ralph and I were in the mid-sized gold powerhorse and Colin and Eve drove the small maroon scrambler.

Don't get dizzy watching the action video, complete with trance music
