Turkey 3/20

Arrived at hotel Anemon next to the Galata Tower near the Golden Horn (an estuary off the Bosporus) ~ 1:30 PM. After checking in I went for a walk and discovered Memet’s Carpet Shop immediately. Memet served me Turkish coffee while he introduced me to some of his beautiful silk carpets. The rest of the afternoon I explored the area between the hotel and the Golden Horn. I had dinner with some other early arrivers at our hotel that night – A beautiful view of the mosques, etc. over the Golden Horn.
