Turkey 3/31

Most of us walked the beach before leaving the hotel that morning.  We were also treated to a great view of a snowcapped mountain.  Then it was in the bus and off to the Lycean tombs of Myra.  These tombs date from ~ 500 BC.  Myra became the largest city during Roman times ~200AD, when the theater was built.  We then had lunch downtown and then visited the church of Father Christmas – St. Nick’s Church (600-700AD).  Then, we continued our drive and got a great view of the town of Cas.  Our hotel was on the shoreline with a great view of a Greek island.
