The tadpoles here were trapped and packed into in a small puddle in the upper left, so Catherine and I dug a few little canals to let them get over to the rest of the water. There may be some frogs/toads thanking us on our next trip. |

The rest of the hikers showed up shortly after. We rested for a while and had some lunch, then loaded up with about 2 gallons of water per person and continued on to our campsite. |

Our campsite is down below near the stream bed. An old uranium mine above the creek supposedly still contaminates the stream and it's recommended that you don't drink the water there, so we brough over a lot from Indian Gardens. |

Outhouse near the campsite. On my trip 3 years before, it was just a toilet with no enclosure sitting on the hillside. I liked that one better, as this one hides the great view while you're sitting there. |
