One day, a few of us rented one of the flat-bottomed 'punt' boats and gave it a try. Here's Henry Throop and company taking off just ahead of our boat. Nobody in his boat or our boat fell in, but there were a few close calls. Fortunately, the boats are really stable. The main thing to remember is that if the pole gets stuck in the river bottom, let go! |
