Old Pueblo Grand Prix
Downtown Tucson
April 17, 2011

Description

The Old Pueblo Grand Prix bike race was held for the first time this year on a ~0.6 mile loop course around downtown Tucson. I went down for the women's and men's pro and high-level amateur races, which were 60 and 90 minutes long respectively. The lighting wasn't ideal for photography by the time of the men's race (especially for my pocket-sized digital camera) so I didn't get too many shots from that one.

The lead pack near the end. Eric Marcotte (one of the guys wearing white) won the race. The guy in red is Hector Rangel, who came in second, and the other guy in white fell out of the lead pack with a few laps to go.
