Day 10: Bishop Pass Trail to South Lake

We hiked from our camp along the Bishop Pass Trail (10,000', 0 mi) up over Bishop Pass (11,972', 5.5 mi), which was slightly higher that the previous Day's Muir Pass and was our highest point of the trip, then down to South Lake (9,820', 11.1 mi) where our car was waiting for us. We took a swim, drove to Lee Vining for dinner, and were back to San Francisco before midnight.

The total distance for the day was 11.1 miles, with a climb of 1,972' and a descent of 2,152'.

The food was very good. I had fish tacos and a giant piece of carrot cake. Others had more fish tacos, roast elk, lobster taquitos, pizza, chocolate cake...
