The trail is about 5 miles long and ends in a barbed-wire fence at the border that has supposedly been knocked down by either cattle or people. I have yet to make it as far as the border, so maybe on the next hike!

Remnants of the Civil War-era homestead of Hank Hewitt and Yank Bartlett, which is right near the trailhead. Their ranching effort didn't last too long, as the Indians in the area were not too happy with their presence and attacked the homestead. |
