Description

Wasson Peak is the tallest peak in the Tucson Mountains, located to the west of Tucson, although at 4687 feet elevation, it's much lower that the tallest peaks in the other ranges around Tucson. We went via the King's Canyon trail and returned via the Hugh Norris, Sendero Esperanza, and Gould Mine trails for a total distance of around 7 miles. A trail map of the area is available from the Park Service here. Pictures from a similar hike last year are here.
