Fun Stuff
(not that science isn't fun, but....)
Still under construction...
Fun places I've been: (pictures coming sometime soon)
I spent last summer (1995) travelling around Europe for a month
with two friends. (Recommendations: Budapest is wonderful! but don't
take a train through Croatia or Slovenia during a war)
Summer 1994, I drove cross-country with a friend in a 1977 Toyota
Corona we bought for $700. It made it, amazingly...and so did we,
close encounters with Buffalo
notwithstanding.
In 1989, I spent a month in Greenland, as part of an Earthwatch expedition
looking for late Cretaceous plant fossils. Though this did not spur a career
as a paleobotanist, it was nevertheless pretty amazing.
(fun-ness content not guaranteed)
Fun things I do:
I play the viola,
and am currently looking for a string
quartet.
And yes, I can find the humor in viola
jokes.
See my viola page
for more viola stuff on the net.
I'm also an avid Macintosh computer
user -- been using them since the Mac Plus. Do you believe in
Macintosh? Learn how to help the cause by subscribing to the
"EvangeList" listserver! Send email to: evangelist@macway.com or go to
the web site.
I also seem to spend a lot of time at Harvard's Graduate School of
Design...Here's a link to the GSD, and some renderings
(scroll down to the 2nd group from the bottom) as well...those of you
who know me will know why these are here.
And, of course, my first rose from my honey.
