The Loudon Observatory Solar Cluster

Below are three images of the newly mounted Solar Cluster of telescopes at the Jim Loudon Observatory. It consists of an H-alpha PST, a Calcium K-line PST, and a 90mm ETX telescope for white light. Planned imaging will be done with a Phillips webcam.

This Solar Cluster is mounted on a german equitorial mounting that consists of an old Edmund tripod mount adapted to fit on a all pier. Cutting the pier shorter was considered but getting daytime telescopes further above the ground is conducive to better seeing.

Future plans are to mount spectrographic instruments on the Solar Cluster as time and money allows.
