I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Planetary Sciences of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. My primary interest is in solar magnetic fields, and in particular probing their structure and energetics through high-resolution solar spectropolarimetry. Most of my work is done in collaboration with the National Solar Observatory, where I am advised by Dr. Matt Penn. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or curiosities.

Currently my work focuses on obtaining and interpreting polarized spectra of spectral lines formed in the solar chromosphere. In order to probe the beautiful fine scale structure of the chromosphere [See the marvelous mosaic image from the IBIS instrument], these observations require very high spatial resolution as well as polarimetric sensitivities at the limit of our current capabilities. In particular, this work relies on the FIRS and IBIS instruments located at the Dunn Solar Telescope on Sacramento Peak, New Mexico.
