Dates of the Camp: 28-30 September 2012. Meeting will be Friday evening at the hotel. Games will begin early Saturday morning and continue throughout the day. Early Sunday games; plan on leaving the fields by 4:00 pm.

Location: Camp will be held at the Río Vista Sports Complex, Peoria AZ. (map)

Camp Format:

Officials will work 3 innings and then be given feedback. A second crew will flop start/finish the next time they are on the field.

Focus of this camp will be on field performance at the Collegiate level.

This year the Camp will have a 2-tier structure.

Twelve officials will be accepted as Campers to learn the rudiments of the 3-Man System.

All other Campers are expected to be proficient in the three-man system, well-versed in the NCAA Manual, and very familiar with the NCAA rule book before coming to this Camp.

Critiques will be focused on the finite differences that separate extremely successful officials from the pack.

NCAA Mechanics & Rules will be used.

In order to provide campers competition that will closely mirror what would be seen during an actual NCAA contest, games will be between Arizona Junior Colleges (several National Championships) and ASA Gold teams.

Instructors: All Instructors have worked in the NCAA post-season. Our staff includes Emily Alexander, Steve Arnold, Mike Bartling, Glenda Bates, Chris Drumm, Paul “Smokey” Edds, Dani Newman, Willie Newman, Greg Schmidt, Bobby Shelton.

Observers: Joanne Venditto and Dave Neidlinger have been invited.

Lodging:Lodging will be at the Embassy Suites Phoenix North, 2577 West Greenway Road, Phoenix, Arizona, approximately 20 minutes from the Complex. (map)

Cost: The cost of the camp is $275 per camper, and includes two nights' lodging (shared room). Breakfast provided on Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $350 for campers requesting a single room, $225 for campers not requiring lodging, or wishing to make their own accommodations.

Payment:Payment is required when application is submitted. If accepted for the Camp, this payment is non-refundable. If you are placed on the Wait List or not accepted for the Camp, your money will be refunded.
