Winds from Planet-forming Discs and Their Role on Disc Dispersal and Planet Formation

The formation and evolution of planets are intimately related to the physical conditions, the evolution, and the dispersal of their natal planet-forming disc. In this talk, I will summarise the role of disc winds on the evolution and dispersal of the disc material. I will then review the status of current theoretical models of photoevaporation and their prediction on disc dispersal as well as their expected influence on planet formation and migration. I will also focus on the predictive aspects of current models and how well they compare with current observations.
