The Lunar and Planetary Laboratory Conference (LPLC) will be held virtually:
Friday, August 21st, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. (Tucson time)
The schedule page has been updated with details about receiving the links to presentations. An outline of estimated times of individual presentations (for live, invited speakers) and Q&A sessions for pre-recorded presentations is also posted on the schedule page.
Please view presentations ahead of time to facilitate good Q&A sessions during the conference!
While there is no real substitute for group dynamics in-person, the LPLC organizers are optimistic that this virtual format will provide a medium for every LPL scientist who wishes to communicate their work to participate! We believe it is important to emphasize the research progress made by members of the LPL community through the significant adversity over the past year. To foster a more engaging virtual symposium, the format for LPLC 2020 will be as follows:
- Registrants will submit a pre-recorded video presentation one week before the conference so attendees may view the talks and formulate questions
- Each conference session will include one live, invited talk along with live Q&A panels via Zoom including a subset of authors and submitted abstracts
- The sessions will be led by a moderator and organized according to general research categories
