This talk will provide an introduction to the University of Arizona Space Institute, detailing the work that UASI does to support space sciences across the university. She will talk about the infrastructure available at the university for mission proposals, including building facilities, space, and monetary support, and provide insight into the process of developing large mission proposals for NASA. Prof. Hamden will also describe her own experience with space mission development through the Aspera telescope (which is currently being aligned in LPL!), which is scheduled to launch in 2026.
