NASA's Mars Perseverance rover will try to generate oxygen on the Red Planet for the first time. If successful, the experiment could pave the way for humans to make a round-trip journey to Mars. University of Arizona planetary scientist Peter Smith describes the discoveries researchers expect from the Perseverance mission.
